SUMMARY:Government Affairs Committee (GAC) Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is the advocacy committee of the Parker Chamber of Commerce.  We meet monthly to discuss issues at the local\, county\, and state levels that impact business.\n\n\n\nWe typically have guest speakers from 9:00 - 9:45am.  Chamber members are welcome to attend the guest speaker portion of GAC meetings.\n\n\n\nGuest Speaker: Ron Redd\, Parker Water & Sanitation District\n\nParker Water's Long-Term Water Plan\n\nHear from Parker Water & Sanitation District's Ron Redd as he offers an overview of the district's long-term water plan\, the Platte Valley Water Partnership. The partnership is expected to be online by 2040 and will help transition the district's supplies from groundwater to 75% renewable sources. \n\n\n\nRon has been the District Manager of Parker Water & Sanitation District since 2013. Before coming to PWSD\, he worked for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for 14 years and the Town of Castle Rock for 13 years. In addition to managing PWSD\, Ron serves on the Boards of the South Metro Water Supply Authority and the WISE Authority. Ron is a Montana native and a graduate of Montana State University with a degree in Civil Engineering.
