Each quarter, leaders of small non-profits in the Parker area are invited to attend a special training event to help boost the success of their organizations. The Non-Profit Organization Council (NPOC) is made up of those smaller non-profits who are members of the Parker Chamber of Commerce.
If you are a leader of a smaller NPO in the Parker area, you're invited to join us for this free event. We will have a speaker on a subject of practical relevance to non-profits.
On 1/30/2024, our topic will be TAKING ADVANTAGE OF COLORADO GIVES DAY AND OTHER SPECIAL FUNDING PROGRAMS. Our speaker will be Mike Waid from the Douglas County Community Foundation. Mike joined the DCCF as Executive Director in 2021 and served as the mayor of Parker from 2008-2012. He was also the owner of Waid Publishing which published numerous community magazines. He has helped to form several NPO's including the Space EGGsploration Foundation and the APEX Dance Theater Foundation.
Non-Profit leaders of organizations who are not members of the Chamber may attend one NPOC event, and then will be asked to join the Chamber in order to continue attending these events.
Each non-profit will be invited to share (for one minute) about their organization's upcoming events and special programs.
Please RSVP so that we may plan for attendance. Thank you!
