Parker Day at the Capitol 2026

Description

Please join Chamber of Commerce staff and members, Town of Parker elected officials and staff, and other interested citizens for a "Day at the Capitol."  Transportation is provided to/from Parker Town Hall. You'll enjoy a tour of the state capitol, time with legislators, a chance to watch the House and Senate in action, a learning lunch with legislators and a keynote speaker from the Executive Branch.

If you haven't been to the Capitol since your middle school field trip, you're going to love seeing our state government in action with adult eyes!  

YOU DO NOT need to be a member of the Parker Chamber to participate in this event.

From 8:00am - 8:45am, we will be offering an optional "orientation" in the lobby of Parker Town Hall. We will discuss what to expect, how to interact with legislators, and answer any questions you have about the day.

Please let us know if you will be utilizing the provided transportation or if you prefer to get yourself to/from the Capitol.  You can rendezvous with the group at the Capitol at 9:30am. If you are riding with the group, be sure you're at Town Hall no later than 8:45am.

Schedule:

8:00am  Meet in the lobby of Parker Town Hall for orientation (optional)
8:45am  Depart for Capitol
9:30am  Arrive at Capitol, Optional Tour, Observe Legislative Activity
11:30am  Walk to Art Hotel
12:00pm  Lunch at Art Hotel, Enjoy Q/A Time with Legislators
1:00pm  Keynote Speaker (to be announced)
2:00pm  Depart for Return Trip to Parker
3:00pm  Arrive Back at Town Hall
