With the current low unemployment rates, many companies are turning to older workers – returning to the workforce – to fill staff positions.
Returning workers might care less than their younger counterparts about career advancement, benefits, and mentorship. However, they often require special allowances like flexible scheduling, part-time work, and specific training on technology necessary for today's positions.
Ruth McCormick, Business and Economic Representative for Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, will host this free online seminar for Parker Chamber members and guests on how to best position your company to utilize returning older workers. We will discuss issues such as recruiting, retaining, and creating a work environment conducive to success for both the company and the worker.
